MPQ2222 is a quad NPN bipolar junction transistor (BJT) array manufactured by Motorola Semiconductor. The device integrates four electrically independent 2N2222-type transistors within a single package, providing a compact solution for circuits requiring multiple small-signal switching or amplification stages.

Each transistor in the MPQ2222 is designed with electrical characteristics similar to the widely used 2N2222 general-purpose NPN transistor, offering reliable performance in low-power switching and signal amplification applications. By combining four transistors in one IC-style package, the MPQ2222 helps reduce board space, simplify layout, and improve thermal consistency between matched devices.

The transistor array is commonly packaged in a 14-pin dual in-line package (DIP), with each transistor having separate base, collector, and emitter connections. This allows designers to configure the devices independently for switching, amplification, current mirrors, or driver stages.

Due to its versatility and compact integration, the MPQ2222 was frequently used in logic interfacing circuits, relay drivers, LED drivers, small-signal amplification, and industrial control electronics.
